Magpie Oracle Ancestral Cleromancy

A magpie oracle is a collection of trinkets, knick-knacks and shiny things, typically gathered by the practitioner, each ascribed with its own meaning.

My magpie oracle was gathered over several months in early 2024, with some pieces collected many years ago, and it has become an integral part of my divinatory practice. I cast the lot, much like one would cast bones, onto an altar cloth, and read the relationships between the items based on how they land.

This reading is centered on ancestral communion. It will begin with a brief ritual to call on my own ancestors, and to make connections with yours, for the purposes of fostering deeper communication, healing and growth.
